Rest days still count

A rest day is not an empty food log. FORM tracks sleep and recovery on days you did not train. You still log the meals you ate.

RECOVERY · THU 7:04 AMPrimedA good day to push

Diet apps treat a rest day as a lower number. Workout apps treat it as a skipped workout. Neither is a rest day. Rest is work you did not do in the gym and still need on the record.

FORM’s use case: movement can be zero and the day can still be complete if sleep, recovery and fuel are logged. Rest is not a free pass to skip the log.

The day

  • Log meals as usual. Recovery is not a reason to skip food.
  • Do not invent a session to keep a gym streak. Log rest.
  • Read last night. FORM tracks sleep and recovery on rest days too.
  • The Health Score can still read a rest day that was actually in form.

Why this matters

People drop trackers on rest days because the product has nothing to do. FORM still has a job: capture fuel, track sleep and recovery, show the overview. Tomorrow’s session is easier to start when yesterday was not a hole in the log.

What FORM will not do

It will not make medical claims about rest. It will not tell you that you are overtrained. If you are injured or unwell, that is a clinician. FORM records the day you actually had.

FAQ

Can I have a complete day if I did not train?

Yes, if meals, sleep and recovery are on the day. Skipping the log does not count as rest.

Is a rest day a cheat day?

No. FORM does not use that frame. You log the meals you ate. FORM still tracks sleep and recovery.

Do I need a wearable?

Sleep and recovery need a watch or Health Connect source. Meals still log without one.

Food, training and recovery. One app.FORM does not diagnose, treat, or replace a clinician.
